Assessment tools
Using technology for feedback is not just about summative tools, it is often how we gather data to inform teaching & learning and how we support young people to learn.
Some technologies are more suited to the way young people learn. The list below is not exhaustive and please consider using Google Meet or Screencastify and a flipped learning approach.
Kahoot
Kahoot! is a game-based learning platform, used as educational technology in schools and other educational institutions. Its learning games, "Kahoots", are multiple-choice quizzes that allow user generation and can be accessed via web browser.

Socrative
Engage, assess and personalise your class with Socrative! Educators can initiate formative assessments through quizzes, quick question polls, exit tickets and space races all with their Socrative Teacher app. Socrative will instantly grade, aggregate and provide visuals of results to help you identify opportunities for further instruction.

Quizlet
Using Quizlet is an effective way to get your students further engaged in what they're learning both in the classroom and at home. As a teacher you can easily create Quizlet classes to share study material with your students quickly and track their progress. Quizlet Live makes it easy to get your whole class involved, learning the material and how to work together in the process.
SQA Solar
SOLAR is SQA's eassessment system which is used to deliver assessments on many devices including PC, laptop, tablet and i-Pad.
These e-assessments are secure, quality assured, pre-verified and both summative and formative. These are available to all SQA approved centres.
SQA Past Papers
Past SQA exam papers can be found here. Digital question papers are also available. These allow learners to write on the PDF document. Please note digital question papers may only be relevant for subjects with 'write on' question papers.
Padlet
Padlet is the easiest way to create and collaborate in the world. It works like a sheet of paper where you can put anything (images, videos, documents, text) anywhere, from any device (PCs, tablets, phones), together with anyone.
EDPuzzle
EDpuzzle allows teachers to turn videos into engaging assessments. Videos from across the web can have questions embedded and teachers can track pupils' progress.
Google Forms
Google Forms is a survey administration app that is included in the Google Drive office suite along with Google Docs, Google Sheets, and Google Slides. Forms features all of the collaboration and sharing features found in Docs, Sheets, and Slides.
